Change Unfiltered: The Freedom to Work Differently
Welcome to Change Unfiltered: The Freedom to Work Differently, the podcast for mid-career professionals rethinking success and quietly wondering, is this it?
You’ve built a strong career. Delivered results. Hit the milestones. But somewhere along the way, the job title, the salary and the stability stopped being enough.
This isn’t a podcast about burnout or breakdowns. It’s about the subtler discomforts: the quiet disconnection, the urge to do work that feels more like you, the questions that won’t go away.
Each episode shares real stories of people who’ve stepped off the traditional path (from fractional leaders, to consultants, to founders) and what it actually takes to reshape your life and work from the inside out.
If you’re at a crossroads and feeling out of sync with your old ambitions, Change Unfiltered offers insight, reflection, and real talk from those who’ve been there too.
Ready to challenge the status quo and work on your own terms? Subscribe and start exploring the possibilities.

“It’s okay to be vulnerable… actually, that’s where greater relationships and trust can be garnered.”– Claire Scull
In this episode of Change Unfiltered, host Angela Scott speaks with Claire Scull, a seasoned leader whose 25-year career spans software, telecommunications and life sciences. From start-up teams to senior roles in global organisations, Claire’s leadership journey is shaped by empathy, resilience, and a deep commitment to inclusion.
She’s not only an advocate for women in the workplace but also actively involved in local politics, bringing her values-led approach into the wider community. Claire’s story reflects the intersection of professional ambition and personal conviction — and how leadership, when rooted in trust and vulnerability, can create meaningful change.
In this conversation, we explore:
The nuances of empathetic, people-centred leadership
How diversity drives innovation — and what gets in the way
Building resilience and connection in high-pressure environments
Showing up with heart in complex systems
This is a thoughtful, grounding episode for anyone leading teams, navigating change, or redefining what success looks like in today’s workplace.

“You’re only as good as your last deal”
That’s how my very first podcast guest Daryn Mason describes the fast-paced, high-pressure world of software sales, which he’s now left behind in favour of counselling and psychotherapy.
After he left school with no meaningful qualifications, Daryn taught himself to programme and worked his way up to executive level in one of the world’s largest software and cloud computing companies. In 2022, he published his long awaited book, “Deal Crash”.
After a successful corporate career, Daryn is on the brink of embarking on his new career following a three-year Masters course at the University of Abertay in Dundee, Scotland.
